Grand Shimano Challenge XC is the 5th series installment of Grand Shimano events. Held on Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, it was participated by more that eight hundred (800) mountain bike enthusiast, both competitive and recreational cyclist.

Grand Shimano Challenge XC promotes recreational activities and sparks the competitiveness of each individuals towards themselves and the terrain. Classified as a Gran Fondo, it is the first ever bicycle race to be held in Sacobia River Trail as part of Clark City's promotion of the bike-lifestyle.

The race started at 5:30 in the morning with two categories 30 KM and 60 KM.
